Should you read the blog Mr. Money Mustache

The Mr. Money mustache blog run by Peter Adeney is about creating financial stability from whatever current monetary state you are in. He made most of his money by keeping a low expense ratio and investing most his software engineer salary in the stock market. After retiring at 30, he started a blog  about personal finance. It started in 2011, and since then has begun pulling in nearly $400,000 a year (since 2016). After the first few years of writing, you could tell he began to invest a lot of time and energy into the blog. He uses satire and some adulthood humor to help get across his overall point: most Americans suffer in some financial way and his blog wants to help you out. there is a wide variety of topics covered by his blog; from how to cut power costs to how to get rich through rental properties. Almost all of them revolve around the same simple principle, stop spending money where it doesn't need to be spent. After reading several blog posts from Mr. Money Mustache, I recommend you check his very helpful website out.

One reason I think you should check out the Mr. Money Mustache blog is because the information that he tells you is relevant. Everything that he talks about revolves around money. He is always trying to find ways for you, the reader, to cut your costs. He trie to write in areas that actually have relevance to society; he writes about how to stay on top of your mortgage payments (a huge issue in our society), how to cut your power bill by more than half (again, big issue for American people), and student loans (you guessed it, huge issue for America). He actively tries to write about things that actually have an effect on his audience.

Another reason you should check out the Mr. Money Mustache bog is because he is offering credible information. For example, one of the articles I choose to read was titled 'How to Cut Your Power Costs by 80%'. In this blog post, he actually puts to practice the ideas that he talks about in his own household; he bought a more energy saving fridge, he got a new power meter, he even practiced safe light replacement for ideal energy consumption. He does not just sit behind a computer screen in his 4 million dollar home, he shows his readers how serious he is about the information and the results they provide by applying these concepts to disown home, showing us that you can, in fact, cut your power cost by 80%!
