Hello students, and welcome to our blog! Today in class we'll work to join the blog and become familiar with its basic features. See my handout for more, but our main goals for your first post here are to get to know each other, respond to our text so far, and to start a conversation.
You'll get to know much about me in this class as time goes on, but I can start by introducing my better half. My wife's name is Irene and she is my partner in crime on our three small regenerative farming locations. She loves gardening and really has a heart for elderly people. She works at Willow Brook Assisted Living which is south of Delaware. I'm proud of her for her heart and service to others! We do our small farming together and really enjoy it.

Prompt for Journal Two (also on your handout)
--For your first post, write a paragraph where you introduce yourself, tell us some things that help us know you more, and share again your fun fact. Also, if you are comfortable to do so, please post a photo of yourself, so we can always come back to this and associate your name with your face and introduction. Again, the blog will just be for our class and I will adjust the privacy and search settings.
--In the next paragraph, respond to the readings in your textbook The Curious Writer Chapter One by sharing something from your active reading. What theme or idea stood out to you in this reading? What did you learn about writing or inquiry in this chapter so far? Share your ideas and thoughts, or expand any of your Active Reading entries.
