  1. I thought it was really cool to know the kind of adversity that Steven Spielberg went through when creating his movies. Jaws and Jurassic Park are some of my favorite movies, and I never considered that there would be so much difficulty in getting these projects started up. I also was fascinated with how personal the movies were, such as E.T. Some of the best stories are based on true events. The one thing that I wish you would've done was find a good spot to put in the video clip. It was great, but seemed out of place when it was played. Overall, it was a great presentation.

  2. I found your topic very interesting. Steven Spielberg was a really good choice. Your presentation did a awesome job and explaining the movies that he produced. I also did not know that he had so much trouble making Jaws, that was really cool. Also that he put so much of his personal life into his movies was interesting. I agree with Thomas that the video clip was a little misplaced. At the end was not the most effective, maybe after you talked about the Jaws film.

  3. I thought this was a very good presentation. I love movies and have seen many Steven Spielberg films. I think he is one of the most influential minds in the history of the industry and it's hard to talk about directors or movies in general without mentioning his name. I thought some of the best parts of the presentation would be the information about how his personal life experiences have influenced some of his movies and his stories are sometimes told through his movies. I think a couple other shorter clips could have been added to enhance the presentation If time allowed.

  4. I thought you guys had a really powerful presentation. You were able to fill me in on so much information and I was really intrigued the whole time during the presentation. You had a perfect balance of talking between each of you, and it was very obvious that you guys practiced the presentation. The handout also allowed for another unique piece to your presentation that gave outside opinions on the topic and it I thought that was really creative. The presentation was clear, interesting, and fun and I loved the whole thing. The movie clip at the end allowed a fun wrap up as well. One thing I think you could have done to make the presentation even better is putting more photos on the slides because there are so many more fun and interesting photos from all those movies that could’ve been used to make an even better visual representation of the movies. You guys did a great job and I enjoyed learning about Steven Spielberg!

  6. I am a big film guy and you guys said it yourself Spielberg is one of the most Well known directors in the world and he has solidified himself into the film legends. You guys did a great job at showing people that he was the reason we have the CGI that we do today because he pushed the limits. He also faced so many difficulties throughout his career and yet he went above and beyond every time. The only thing I would suggest is maybe show some of the other really cool pictures that there are about the movies but overall an amazing presentation!!!!!!

  7. It was very cool to learn about Steven Spielberg. I never knew all the popular movies he directed and filmed. One critique I would offer is to further explain why his movies were so iconic and what we can learn from that.

  8. Going into your presentation I did not know very much about Steven Spielberg. I knew he made famous movies but other than that I didn't know anything about him. After your presentation though I feel like I can have a confident conversation with someone, and about the movies he has made. It was very interesting to hear the facts and specs that went into each movie he made. One thing I would improve is your transitions between who was talking, but other than that it was a very well rounded and informative presentation!

  9. I am a big movie fan and I felt like your guys' presentation felt more like a showcase of his movies. This is a good thing because all of his movies have very important backgrounds and everything that was going on in Steve Spielberg's life. For instance, when Saving Private Ryan came up I did not know that His father fought in World War 2 and that Steven used his that as his inspiration. But, this is bad because you could have gone into more depth with the actual director. You guys gave us some information about Steven Spielberg, but it felt very lack luster.

  10. I'd start by saying that I thought Morgan and Timmy did a great job with their topic! I particularly liked how they focused on Jaws and Jurassic Park as I am a big fan of both of those movies so it was interesting to get a behind the scenes look at both of them. I also liked their interviews with the film major and teacher who was interested in film. For constructive criticism, I would maybe suggest introducing the interview subjects more so we know who they are and why they were such a great person to interview. All in all, I really enjoyed the presentation!

  11. You guys did a good job all around I think and you kept my attention through the whole presentation. I liked how you gave examples of movies and listed reasons why they were all iconic in their own ways, and how they each in turn made Spielberg more of an icon. I liked how you had a handout and thought it was neat to see what some people's opinions were, but I think you could have given the people on the handout a little more credibility or at least gave us an impression of who they were.

  12. Let me start by saying that the movies you chose to talk about are some of my favorites. My favorite of them being Saving Private Ryan. I really enjoyed how you brought up the fact that it was so realistic that some people had to leave the theaters because it brought back PTSD. I also learned that Jaws was filmed in the open ocean I thought they had filmed in a tank like most movies. I think you guys nailed this presentation because you held my attention through the whole thing and I was enjoying learning about it. I can't think of anything that you guys should have gone deeper into you could have but it would have taken to long. Thanks for teaching me something new.

  13. Overall the presentation was great, I learned a lot of new things I did not know before. I really enjoyed when you guys talked about how he would always try to set new standards and do things people didn't think possible. One thing I thought you guys could have done was refer to the handout a little it seemed as if it was just given to us without any explanation of who the people were.

  14. You guys gave a great presentation and really taught me more about Steven Spielberg that I hadn’t already known. I thought it was really cool how you talked about him starting the film Jaws at a very young age, because the film industry can be so hard it is uncommon for such a young person to be successful. The handouts that you guys passed out were also a great touch to the presentation, and overall i think you guys did great. The only thing i think you could’ve improved on is the papers you handed it had amazing quotes on it from reliable sources and you could’ve talked about it a little more, but even handing them out was enough for me, so overall great job.

  15. We learned about Spielberg's creative techniques and his iconic moviemaking skills during this presentation. We also learned about some iconic characters that he has made throughout his movies. I think the best part of the presentation was the organization of it all, I really liked the layout. For each slide there was a new topic that was split into two main points or ideas, I liked that you guys did that. Something I would add to your presentation though is more comparisons of his personal life and his movies. I know you had the one with E.T. and Indiana Jones but I think even adding some more would've been cool because those were very interesting.

  16. I was not very familiar with Spielberg before this presentation, and after your presentation I thought I knew a lot more. You guys did a great job, you were very well organized and your presentation flowed. You guys also did a very good job at finding great images to use in order to enhance your presentation. You guys balanced each slide perfectly with the number of bullet points compared to images. A little bit of feedback that I would give you guys is try to explain your handout slightly more, but you guys still went above and beyond with that. Overall, I thought you guys did very good and I enjoyed your presentation.

  17. You guys had a lot of great information about the more popular movies produced by Steven Speilberg. Although I have not seen all of the movies that you talked about in your presentation, I still found it interesting to hear about. Something to add to your presentation could have been a little more information or reasons as to why each movie was iconic. I like the extra effort you put in to make a handout.

  18. You guys had an amazing presentation. I really liked the handouts you gave with 5 movies and the two opinions about Steven Speilburg. Showing the video from Jaws helped because it captured my attention.
